Molly is a large, lovable mixed breed with a sleek black coat and a heart as big as her paws. Though she can be shy at first, once she warms up, she’s incredibly friendly and always ready to greet you with a wagging tail and a happy smile.
Molly does wonderfully with other dogs and finds comfort in canine companionship. She’s a gentle soul who thrives in calm, patient environments and may take a little time to come out of her shell—but once she does, she’s pure joy.
She can be a bit anxious in new situations, so she needs a family who will give her the time and reassurance she needs to feel safe. With love and understanding, Molly will become the most loyal and sweet companion you could ask for.

More about this shelter
The Animal Welfare League is a non-profit organization committed to advocating for animal protection and welfare. We are based in Port Charlotte, Florida. Since 1963 our shelter has served the Charlotte County community by providing a temporary home, medical service and caring attention for many dogs, cats and other animals. These animals come to us as strays, pets given up by their owners, unfortunate animals rescued from abuse and neglect, or simply lost pets in need of being re-united with their families.
