My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Shelley: Your Ideal Family Dog
Shelley is a delightful 4-year-old Pointer who weighs over 40 pounds. She is not only smart and athletic but also incredibly affectionate, making her the perfect companion for any family.
Friendly and Adaptable
Shelley is wonderfully adaptable and gets along well with everyone. Whether it's cats, kids, dogs, or people, Shelley is friendly and sociable. Her ability to crate well and her ease on a leash make her an excellent choice for families who enjoy both peaceful and active moments.
Health and Wellness
Shelley comes fully prepared for her new home. She has received all necessary vaccinations, is microchipped, heartworm negative, and spayed. This means you can welcome her into your family with peace of mind, knowing her health is in top condition.
Easy Keeper
Shelley is an easy keeper who is comfortable in a fenced yard and has good recall. Her medium energy level means she's always up for a walk or a snuggle on the couch. Whether you're looking for an adventure buddy or a cozy companion, Shelley fits the bill.
Available for Adoption
Shelley is available for adoption through Barking Mad Animal Rescue. She is ready to find her forever home where she can share her love and joy with a lucky family.
If you're looking for a loyal, loving, and adaptable family dog, Shelley might just be the perfect addition to your home. Contact Barking Mad Animal Rescue to learn more about adopting Shelley today!

More about this rescue

BMAR is a No-Kill facility: a place of safety for healthy adoptable animals, a home for the homeless, a haven for the mistreated, neglected, or abused animals of Sabine & surrounding counties. BMAR also runs a sanctuary for those deemed unadoptible due to medical and behavior issues.

100% Volunteer Rescue. We have no animal control, Humane Society, or SPCA operating in our area leaving animals in dire straights.

BMAR is dedicated to the prevention of cruelty & abuse to all animals & livestock.

We currently only adopt to states and Canada where we have a network in place to monitor animals and help with problems.

BMAR backs it's dogs for life and will take back no matter how long and at any time if circumstance arise and you cannot keep your pet.
