At just 12 pounds, Max may be small but has the personality to be a huge loving part of your life! He’s currently living in a foster home where he’s proven himself to be a true social butterfly—he adores other dogs and even has proven himself to love a good brewery patio.
Max was born with a congenital heart defect, but thanks to modern veterinary medicine, there’s real hope it can be corrected with surgery after his heartworm infection clears. With the right care and treatment, his future is looking bright—and he’s ready to share it with a family who will love him as much as he deserves.
At his core, Max is a gentle, affectionate companion who thrives on love and security. He’s looking for a family that will not only give him the chance at a healthier life through his upcoming heart surgery, but also a lifetime of kindness, belly rubs, and soft beds. All Dallas Pets Alive adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon adoption. The standard minimum donation for dogs over six months to seven years is $200, puppies under six months is $250, dogs eight years and over are $100 unless specified otherwise.
