My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sweet Pea runs on patience, calm vibes, and Churu (her love language). Once trust is established, she’ll offer her signature move: the world’s tiniest low-five, gently placing one marshmallow paw in your hand like she’s signing a peace treaty.

She’s low-key, drama-free, fine with dogs, friendly with everyone—but cats are her people. Ideally, she’d like a quiet home with her sister Lydia, with whom she plays laser-dot doubles like it’s an Olympic sport. Give her time, kindness, and snacks, and Sweet Pea will bloom—slowly, sweetly, and very intentionally. 🌸

More about this rescue

We are a volunteer-run, 501(c)3 foster-based rescue, which means we do not have a central building. Our rescue registration number with the State of NY is RR131. For logistical reasons, all of our foster homes are in Lewis and Jefferson Counties. If there is an animal you are interested in meeting, we ask you to first fill out the adoption application, which can be found in the main menu. You do not need to live in Lewis or Jefferson county to adopt; we do adopt out of state (and to Canada as well!)
