My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Hardy!

About:
Hardy came to us as a stray with very little experience interacting with humans. Because of this, Hardy was very shy and reserved for his first few months with us, often sleeping in his litterbox and refusing to leave his kennel. With gradual socialization from our volunteers, though, he eventually started coming out of his shell and exploring his surroundings and new friends. Currently, Hardy has a pretty big circle of friends at the shelter who he will happily hop out of his kennel to sit with and rub on! Hardy has also discovered the wonders of treat tubes -- something that makes buying his affection very simple!
Overall, Hardy has transformed from a terrified street cat to a little man who is definitely a housecat candidate! He`s super sweet now that he`s more comfortable and is definitely ready to be loved.

Ideal Home:
While Hardy has come a long way since his arrival to the shelter, it is probably still best for him to go to a quieter home to ensure that he is given the time he needs to open up fully in a new environment.

If you are interested in meeting Hardy or have any questions about him, please fill out an online adoption application, send an email to info@hskl.ca expressing your interest, or stop by the shelter during our open hours. Hardy will be waiting!
