My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Rumi!  He's from a litter of 4 that was found in a backyard living under a koi pond feature, with his stray mama cat, Mama Carmen.  Mama Carmen is a medium hair Tabby with subtle orange streaks running thru her pretty dark brown and black coloring. Rumi and his siblings were found and brought inside when they were about 4 weeks old, along with their stray mama who was maybe a year old herself.

Rumi and his siblings were all named after famous poets.  Rumi is a 13th-century Persian poet and mystic. His work explores themes of love, loss, and spiritual journey -  Seems to fit our kitten, Rumi.

Rumi is a little bigger than his siblings but definitely the most shy and sweetest. He likes to play, but like the sweet kid on the playgound that lets other kids play first until he takes his turn. He will chase his siblings around the house, but more of a quite kid and not the rambunctious energy type.  He snuggles with foster mom's older boy cat as his protection blanket, it seems. Rumi would be good around older cats as well as a good gentle playmate for other kittens. He is more of a low maintenance kitten.  Rumi has two-toned whiskers that are black at the base and white thru the ends - see photo below.
