APPLICATION LINK: https://shaynesrescue.com/adoption-application-pet-central-satx/
We must have an application to move forward.
In foster in south of Tumwater, WA. We think she is pure breed but this is rescue we can't swear.
FAITH is a Cairn Terrier mix...Female...about 5 yrs old, spayed, 17#. She is high energy... announces strangers and strange noises, Hence, we will NOT adopt to an apartment. She gets along with other dogs. She does chase the cats which we are working on training her out of it. My cats are also training her with strong defiance and sharp claws. She is finding out cats aren’t a lot of fun.
FAITH loves to ride in the car. She is willing to jump in at first opportunity and rides in the front seat like a veteran. She is crate trained and knows to do her business outside on the leash. I believe she is housetrained but we haven’t had the opportunity to truly test her. She does not mess in her crate.
FAITH is great around other dogs…loves attention and play. She is definitely food motivated and any animal that is food motivated is easy to train. I have not had her around young children…older children who know how to be kind to dogs should be fine. I have had her professionally groomed. She will probably need grooming every 4-5 mos or she will have matted hair. The groomer said she was a little nervous but she did great even with the nail trim.
FAITH came to be because her owner passed away and she needed a new home. I don’t think she was taken out a lot but she does fine walking on a leash. She is a bit nervous around strangers but she calms down quickly. She has adjusted to my house and when I sat in my recliner chair, she wants instantly in my lap. I’m sure she sat with her owner a lot.
Adoptions include neuter/spay, vaccinations (DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies), microchip, health certificate, transport with our professional dog transporter, and 6 mos of heart worm prevention.
