Meet Xena! This 3 year old, 75 pound brindle beauty is pure sweetness wrapped in a pittie package. Despite being found tied to a pole and brought to the Manhattan ACC, Xena has held onto her gentle, easygoing spirit and quickly became a shelter favorite.
Now in foster care, Xena continues to impress everyone with her calm, loving demeanor. She's crate trained (sleeps and eats in her crate), potty trained, and knows her basic cues like "sit," "paw," "crate," and "down." She's also incredibly mellow, spending most of her day lounging and soaking up the love.
Xena absolutely adores people, snuggles, pets, and belly rubs are the way to her heart. She's been great with the kids she's met and does best with slow, thoughtful introductions when meeting other dogs.
Looking to add a laid back, lovable companion to your family? Xena's your girl.

We have a strict adoption process. An adoption application must be completed and submitted via our website.
We need to feel confident that our animals are going to loving and benevolent homes that are financially stable. We require an adoption fee for each of our dogs. All dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, dewormed and heart worm tested.

More about this rescue
See Spot Rescued is a 501(c)3 non profit all volunteer rescue organization. We’re a foster based rescue, so every dog in our care lives in a nurturing home, surrounded by love and support, until they’re adopted.
Our mission is simple: every dog deserves a second chance. We rescue dogs from high kill shelters in North Carolina, West Virginia, Texas, and New York. Once a dog is in our care, they never return to a shelter.
While in foster care, dogs are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. We focus on making the best possible match between the dog and their future family, ensuring a lifelong bond built on love.
At SSR, we put each dogs needs first, our goal is to find them a permanent, loving home where they will be cherished forever.
