Meet Xena! She was pulled from a shelter in LA by Best Friends before she made her trip to Vegas. Shortly after her arrival, this pretty girl was diagnosed with Hyperesthesia, a disorder that causes extreme sensitivity in areas of a cat’s skin (typically on the back and tail) that causes discomfort that can trigger excessive twitching and grooming. There isn't a definitive cause for the disorder, but it doesn't change that cats with Hyperesthesia can live happy and comfortable lives like any other cat with proper treatment and understanding. She is currently on a daily anxiety medication that helps manage her symptoms.
Now that she's feeling more like herself, Xena would love to find the perfect home that treats her like the queen she is! She can be a bit selective with new cats and prefers her space, but given her condition, she would do best in a home without young children.
