Duke of York has been with us since he was just 8 weeks old, which means we know him very well. He is now firmly in his “almost a cat” era and has fully grown into the personality his name promised.
Named after a dry, mealy potato, Duke of York is… exactly that. He is a bit stiff around the edges, deeply opinionated, and not here for chaos. Duke loves his people with his whole heart and is happiest when life is predictable, calm, and exactly the way he likes it. Strangers, big changes, or new situations? Hard pass. That’s where the spice comes in.
Once Duke decides you are his person, you’re in. He is affectionate, loyal, and genuinely enjoys human company. He just prefers a small, trusted inner circle and a home that runs on consistency and routine. Duke is not a “throw him into a busy household and hope for the best” kind of guy. All of our animals come with health records and are dewormed, have age appropriate vaccinations, spayed or neutered, microchipped, all cats are FIV/FeLV tested, and all dogs over 6 months are heartworm tested.
In order to be considered as an adopter you must:
* Be 21 years of age or older
* Have identification showing your present address
* Agree to a home check
* Be able and willing to provide a loving, safe and peaceful environment for this pet
* Be financially stable and willing to provide any necessary medical care
Once you have filled out an application, your application will be reviewed. If approved, we will contact you to schedule a meet and greet and home check via the email address provided.
