My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Zaida - Your Velcro Snuggle-Bug With the World’s Sweetest Paw-Pats

Zaida has boomeranged back to Hillcrest Animal Rescue through no fault of her own, and she trotted in the door as if she had never missed a single treat-time. This lovely girl greets everyone with a wag and quickly zeroes in on her person, where she prefers to stay, preferably curled up in a lap or pressed against your leg.

Why you will fall for Zaida

- Cuddle queen: She dishes out head-nuzzles, soulful adopt-me eyes, and the most adorable playful paw taps when she wants attention (which is often).
- Social butterfly: Zaida generally plays well with other dogs, but she is still learning that not every pup loves a nose-to-nose hugs, so gentle reminders and calm introductions keep everyone happy.
- Happy-go-bouncy: She can rev from 0 to 60 with excitement - think zoomies and wiggle-butt dance - so her best home will keep the hype low and the chill vibes high. A little structured play followed by snuggle time is her perfect day.
- Velcro vibe: Expect a four-legged shadow. Whether you are binge-watching or answering emails, Zaida will be right there, offering moral support (and maybe sneaking in a few kisses).

Zaidas ideal home

- People who love affection and do not mind a dog that occasionally forgets the concept of personal space.
- A moderately active household that balances play with downtime; over-stimulation can make her a tad overwrought.
- Respectful canine companions are welcome with proper intros; she would also thrive as your one-and-only snuggle partner.

Health & adoption details

- Spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and heartworm negative

More about this rescue

Hillcrest Animal Rescue is a 501c3, non-profit organization dedicated to saving as many homeless, neglected and abused animals as our resources allow. All of our rescues are placed in loving foster homes and receive thorough medical care. Each companion animal is heartworm tested and treated if positive; placed on monthly heartworm and flea/tick prevention; altered and micro chipped. Every animal receives a full complement of vaccines depending on risk and immune status. Chronic pain is not acceptable with animals in our care. We will take whatever measures are necessary to ensure that all of our animals are living free of pain and disease. To summarize our belief in veterinary care, any animal at Hillcrest Rescue receives the same level of veterinary care as if she or he were the only animal we have.
