My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Please note that Q-Tip is bonded with Heartsy, and they will only be adopted out as a pair. Q-Tip and Heartsy will have a special adoption fee for the both of them, File #25-129Current Foster Location: Merrickville, ON *Please note that we do not typically adopt outside of a 2 hour radius from the foster dogs current location* Hi, Im Q-Tip! Im the sporty spice of this sister duo. I love playing ball catch, fetch, or even solo play if youre too busy. I'm quick, clever, and always up for a game. But dont be fooled when the day winds down, Im all about lap cuddles and cozy time. Im a bit more independent than my sister Heartsy, but Im always keeping a close eye on her. When she barks, I sometimes join in (sisters gotta stick together, y'know?). Im also housetrained and great with other small/medium dogs. While I enjoy doing my own thing, I can't imagine life without Heartsy. Weve been together forever and were happiest that way. We promise double the love, double the tail wags, and double the reasons to smile.   Please visit our website www.ittakesavillagedogrescue.com to learn more about this amazing dog and to see other available dogs.

2.

Interview

Screening questions are completed to confirm match before meet and greet

3.

Meet the Pet

Dog up for adoption, the applicant and foster meet.

4.

Home Check

A virtual home visit along with 2 reference checks is done to confirm safe and suitable home (one reference is a vet if possible)

5.

Approve Application

A call with the applicant and adoption team is held to finalize, and then send contract.

6.

Sign Adoption Contract

Contract and addendum if needed is sent to the applicant.

7.

Pay Fee

After the adoption donation and contract are received, the adoption is considered final. Then pick up the new family member and take home

Additional adoption info

We use a team to cover different steps in the process so that we have input from several individuals to confirm dog/puppy is a fit in the new family and we have the correct forever home.
