.Chipmunk is a cute female kitten who was brought to the HSOV on May 15, 2025 after she was found on Main Street in Lowell Ohio with no mother in sight and apparently fending for herself. Chipmunk was estimated to have been 8-weeks old at that time.
This little dollbaby has a dark brown-and-white short smooth coat in a tabby pattern, a long ringed tail, and an adorable face with golden eyes, a brown velvet nose, and long white whiskers.
Chipmunk was given vaccinations and wormer on May 23, 2025. She was a tiny girl who weighed just 1.5 lbs that day. Chipmunk was given booster vaccines on June 6th.
Because she was so tiny when she entered our shelter, Chipmunk was placed with an empty-nester mother cat (Pilot) who had recently given birth to a stillborn kitten and needed some extra TLC .. And Chipmunk and Pilot truly needed each other to mend their broken hearts and comfort each other. They are still together as of July 10th 2025 and are now a 'threesome' since Pilot's former housemate (Civic) has joined them.
Chipmunk, Pilot and Civic would be a perfect trio to adopt together (hint, hint).
This 'big girl' photo of Chipmunk was taken on July 4th 2025 when we did a marathon photo session of several kittens .. Chipmunk was one of the "stars" that day as she gave us her best playful poses.
Chipmunk was spayed on July 7, 2025 and was also given rabies vaccine. She weighed 2.8 lbs and is still a petite young lady.
Chipmunk and her 'foster mother' Pilot and 'foster aunt mother' Civic would be a perfect trio to adopt together (hint, hint).
Pilot and Civic are beautiful young (one-year old+) kitties who came from the same neighborhood and are quite possibly siblings. Pilot has an orange tabby coat .. Civic has a black/orange/beige tortoiseshell coat. Both Pilot and Civic were spayed on May 12, 2025 and were given rabies vaccine.
This blended family is currently sharing a large triple-wide cage in our HSOV Jungle Room.
