Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Marilyn is sweet and loves to get belly scratches. She was left at our door with her 3 kittens and she recently finished nursing them and is ready to find her forever home. She does okay with other cats, but would probably prefer to be the only cat in the home. She would do best with older children as she does like to play with her paws and give love bites. She is super cuddly when she's feeling affectionate and just wants someone to love her!

More about this shelter

We are a no-kill, non-profit pet placement and adoption center located in Ontario, California.

We were established in 1954 as the Humane Society of Chaffey Community and it served as the local animal control for the surrounding areas. Roughly 40 years later, we adopted a no-kill policy as West End Shelter for Animals.

Sociable homeless cats and dogs are surrendered by owners who can no longer keep them for various reasons and they remain with us indefinitely until we find them a new home. The shelter can provide temporary homes for up to 200+ cats and dogs. In addition to working with pet owners, we rescue a number of cats and dogs from county shelters where they await euthanasia due to pet overpopulation.
