My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

HI - I'M RUSTY! I'm a 4-month-old shepherd mix in need of a foster or forever home. My mom (a white shepherd mix) was abandoned in the desert and after she was rescued, she soon gave birth to four beautiful puppies, including me! I'm a bit shy at first so would do best in a quiet, peaceful home with a person or people who are gentle and can take me for walks, hikes or other outings. I love napping on the couch and chilling out, too! Can you foster or adopt me? Please email for an application.

More about this rescue

Freedom Ride Rescue Inc. is a volunteer-run 501(c)(3) nonprofit rescue organization that saves hundreds of dogs and cats annually. We are an all-breed rescue, and do not shy away from tough cases. We believe all animals deserve a chance at a happy life, and we do our best to match people with their new pets. Every time a dog is adopted, it makes room for another needy dog, most often in an overcrowded shelter.

We adopt dogs/cats to people on the West Coast but also to other states as well, as we believe that animal lovers are everywhere! Please consider adopting one of our wonderful dogs or cats.
