This sweet boy showed up at a good Samaritans property with an injured bloody shoulder. I was contacted for help and approved to have him taken to my vet. He had a good-sized bite wound that needed to be flushed and cleaned to prevent infection. Bert was also given an antibiotic injection.
I adore this boy. He is "extremely affectionate and loving". He follows me around as I’m doing my daily cat chores and just wants me to pet and love him. If I am not paying attention to Bert, he will jump in my lap and make sure I see him, lol
Bert is maybe a couple years old, has tested negative for leukemia/FIV, and has been neutered. Bert is co-existing with my other cats but seems to like the girls more than the boys. This might change once his hormones are regulated from his neutering procedure.
At any rate, if you are looking for a super friendly and outgoing cat, then you must meet Bert! If I didn't have a full house already, I would make it work in my home with Bert. I ADORE him!

Because I promote companion animals, all pets are required to be indoor pets only. A reasonable adoption donation is asked for every pet adoption. The fee for cats is $70.
All adopters are required to sign an adoption contract agreeing to the conditions of this rescue.

Mission Statement... "To supply a temporary foster home for abused, abandoned, sick and injured animals, that will provide for both their medical and emotional needs, until a permanent loving indoor home is found".
Kathy Deptola Animal Rescue began animal rescue work with a local animal shelter about 25 years ago. Because I truly do believe in giving every animal a chance at life, I now foster and do animal placement out of my home.
Each and every animal that enters my home is given any medical care, rehabilitation and socialization that it needs. Never is an animal in my foster care destroyed because "no one wanted them", or because "their time ran out".
Patience and a lot of love are the keys to finding the right homes. Often times many of these animals have had a bad experience and need to be given guidance, love and reassurance.
Every pet is spayed/neutered, vaccinated, wormed, and blood tested...(Leukemia/FIV for cats), (Heartworm for dogs) prior to adoption.
