This 1-year-old Belgian Malinois mix is a whirlwind of energy, enthusiasm, and heart. Polo came to HAP from San Antonio, Texas, after the devastating floods, and he's been making an impression ever since. Outgoing with everyone he meets, Polo is all about action, fun, and learning. We’ve been working on clicker training with him, and he lives for food rewards and mental challenges, he's as smart as he is spirited! He loves chasing after toys, zooming around our fenced fields, and invading the personal space of everyone he meets, all for love! Polo needs a home that can keep up with his energy, provide structure, and continue his training journey. If you are interested in adopting this dog, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific dog but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! All household members, including children and other dogs, must come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, fecal testing, heartworm testing, and a small bag of food to get you started.

Most of our pets can go home same-day and come vaccinated, spay/neutered, and microchipped.

We are located in Newark (Christiana), Delaware. Come visit us at 455 Stanton-Christiana Road, Newark (Route 7 behind Royal Farms and Border Cafe)! We're open 6 days a week: Tuesday 12-7, Wednesday thru Sunday 12-5. We are closed on Mondays.
