Hi, I'm Oreo! One look at my gorgeous black and white floof will tell you how I came to have that name. I'm a sensitive, gentle and sweet 7 year old boy who got the attention of two rescuers who were out trapping by walking right up to them and rubbing their legs. One of them picked me right up and I went with it! They quickly realized I was NOT one of the ferals they were trying to trap for TNR! I actually had a microchip but some detective work by the rescue revealed that I was abandoned outside TWO YEARS ago when the people who had adopted me moved away. I was tossed outside like trash..... but luckily my rescuers were able to recognize that I am a beautiful treasure!

I was rescued during that awful heat wave, and I am SO glad to be indoors in air conditioning again! I am still a bit nervous after my scary experiences, but I love people, and I enjoy getting pets and cuddles, and I'm even okay with being picked up (good thing right???)

So far I seem to get along okay with other cats, but I'm not a fan of cats who will chase me as I like my quiet time. I'm not sure if I've ever been around dogs or kids. As I'm still somewhat nervous, I think I will do best in a very calm home with older kids who are very gentle with me. I am not a fan of loud noises or sudden movements. I haven't shown a whole lot of interest in playing yet, but that's probably because I'm still decompressing from my rough years outdoors. I enjoy cozy hidey spots for long naps, and I eat both wet and dry food. My helpers love my curious and adorable little face and my incredibly soft, fluffy fur, as well as my gentle and sweet nature.
