My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Buddy has the sweetest personality for being such a big boy. He gets along with small dogs and cats and loves kids. He tolerates bath time and getting his nails clipped. He loves water. I've had Buddy going on 3 months now and from the beginning, he's been completely potty trained. He's crate trained as well. His favorite thing to do is give his paw for a quick shake. He enjoys balls and sticks in the yard as well. Buddy needs structure and discipline because of his size. He's been in training for basic obedience and because he's so smart, he's learning well. The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $300.00 and that includes their vaccinations, spay or neuter, rabies and microchip. To start the process please visit our website and fill out the adoption application (www.dfwrescueme.org) and from there the foster family can answer any questions and arrange a time to meet. Buddy is participating in the DFW Rescue Me guest dog program, so ongoing care and custody is provided by his foster, not by DFWRM.July 14, 2025, 5:24 pm

More about this rescue

Our goal is to save dogs at the local shelters in the Dallas \ Fort Worth Metroplex from euthanasia and adopt them to the public. We spay / neuter these dogs as well as provide all necessary medical care. We also educate the public about responsible pet ownership. We love dogs and our goal is to reduce / eliminate euthanisias being done in this area by shelters due to overcrowding.
