My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How this pet arrived:
Ali was brought in by her previous owner on June 28, 2025.

Why this pet is the one for you:
Meet Ali, a chatty girl searching for her new best friend. This sweet kitty enjoys affection from her caretakers and will offer a gentle head bump to let you know when she's requesting pets. She can, however, become overstimulated from petting, so she will need adopters who can learn her body language and know when to take a break from handling. Ali's ideal home would be one where she can soak up all of the attention from her family without any other pets or children to share the spotlight with. She's also known to be particular about her litterbox, so she will need some extra time and care to adjust to the new setup. Our team can provide you with lots of tips to set Ali up for success! If you're ready to open your home (and your heart) to a loving and loyal companion who will brighten your days, Ali could be the one for you! Grab a carrier and visit us to learn more about her today.

At SDHS:
Ali has been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed. She is now ready for her new home!

Overstimulated Cat:Ali requires a virtual behavior consult, please watch THIS video to learn more about her.

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
