Chai is a one-of-a-kind girl—literally. Ginger females are rare, and polydactyl ginger girls like Chai are even rarer! But it’s her gentle soul and quirky charm that truly set her apart.

Chai is shy by nature and takes her time to trust, but with patience and kindness, she blossoms into a sweet, devoted companion. Once she decides you’re safe, she’ll greet you with head bumps and leg rubs every morning, every mealtime, and when you return home. She’s not a lap cat, but she’ll always be nearby—whether it’s curling up on the couch beside you or sleeping close at night. Every now and then, she might rest her head on your foot or press her little paw to your wrist. Those quiet gestures feel like gifts.

She’s a master of “Chai Yoga”—often found flopped in wild, contorted positions with her legs splayed and her head twisted the opposite way. She’s calm and quiet overall, only chirping or trilling now and then to say hello or announce her next play session. And play she does! Chai is a kitten at heart, especially when it comes to chasing balls, wand toys, or feathers (which she tends to shred if not supervised). Watching her hunt with her oversized polydactyl mitts is endlessly entertaining.

She’ll keep you company throughout the day, always nearby, always watching with curious eyes. If you leave clothes on the floor—especially jeans—you’ll likely find her curled up on them in no time. And if a bug dares enter your home, Chai will point it out for you… but don’t expect her to catch it. She’s more of an observer than an enforcer.

Chai would likely do well with a calm, non-aggressive kitty friend and could be a great match for a home with gentle older children or adults. She’s a soft, sweet presence—and once she chooses you, it’s forever.
