1⃣ Health Condition
* Neutered.
* Microchipped, and heartworm to be retested in February 2026.

2⃣ Rescue Story
* Yeongeun was staying at the Gimje City Shelter. Adogs hurried to rescue him because the shelter was in poor condition and the heat was causing infectious diseases to spread quickly.

3⃣ Basic Information
* With People: When strangers come to the house, he quietly goes to his cushion and stays there. Has become quite comfortable with his current guardian—he approaches first, licks, and shows affection. If you stop petting him, he’ll ask for more, and if he doesn’t want to be touched, he’ll lick your hand as a way to say "stop."
* With Dogs: Is very sociable and got along well with other dogs at our center.
* Separation Anxiety: Tends to look around for people when left alone but mostly just waits and sleeps. May get a bit nervous if left with an unfamiliar person without his main guardian.
* Potty Training: Currently, due to heartworm treatment, he only goes to the bathroom indoors. Holds it in to some extent and usually uses the pad well. However, if the pad feels unfamiliar, he might have an accident. Usually prefers to poop when no one is around, and before doing so, he’ll dig at the ground or pad to make a spot.
* Hygiene: Doesn’t love brushing, nail clipping, or paw fur trimming, but he tolerates them well! His teeth are relatively clean, and he gets his teeth brushed daily, which he handles calmly.
* Walks: Is currently practicing wearing a leash and harness indoors! Has started desensitization and socialization training outdoors once or twice. A little caution is needed because he’s tried to chase birds in the past. Gets scared easily so he is being trained slowly with more time.
* Car Sickness: In the car, he doesn’t stay still and tends to move around. Seems to have mild motion sickness.
* Biting: Even when he dislikes something, he never bites—he’s a gentle soul.
* Barking: Sometimes barks at his reflection in the window when it gets dark. Might whine during ear cleaning, injections, or when being picked up.
* Likes: Likes most meat-based treats, but he’s not overly food-driven.
* Dislikes: Is afraid of being touched by strangers at first and tends to avoid them. Even with familiar people, he gets very uncomfortable and squeals if someone suddenly tries to grab him. Recently, he’s been afraid of smartphone camera lenses when they're at eye level, so photos should be taken from a distance.
* Tricks: When he’s hungry and sees food, he’ll sit or lie down, but it doesn’t seem like he fully understands the commands.
