Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Ready to purr and play his way into your heart, meet Dolce! This silly, energetic boy is bursting with personality and has a big brain that needs plenty of daily enrichment to stay happy and fulfilled. Interactive play, puzzle toys, and routine will be key to helping Dolce thrive, along with lots of pets!
Once he’s had a good outlet for his energy, Dolce is more than happy to soak up affection and enjoy some downtime with his favorite people. He will head butt you or rub against your legs to let you know he`s happy to see you, and makes new friends easily. He can get a little over-enthusiastic during play, so he’s looking for a cat-savvy home that understands feline body language and respects his clear signals (like a hiss) to let you know he’s done.
Dolce would do best in a calmer household with older, respectful kids who can help keep his environment predictable and stress-free. As mentioned by the previous owner he would enjoy company of another feline friend given he would need a slow introduction. Daily brushing will also be an important bonding activity, as his long, soft coat needs regular care to stay tangle-free!
If you’re experienced with cats and have the time and energy to provide enrichment, structure, and understanding, Dolce will reward you with playfulness, cuddles, and plenty of charm. Come meet him today!

From our earliest beginning, Calgary Humane Society was more than a shelter. As Calgary’s first-established animal welfare organization, connecting the lives of animals and people while providing essential animal services to the community remains our central priority.
Today, Calgary Humane Society (CHS) shelters almost 5,000 homeless animals each year. In 1922 we set out to help as many animals as we can and we will continue to do so by fostering the values of respect, compassion, commitment, teamwork, integrity and innovation.
Our mission is to help as many animals as we can.
Our vision is using innovative strategies to lead, inspire, and educate in the humane treatment of companion animals, fostering an enlightened community that consistently demonstrates respect and compassion for all animals.
Our dream is a community where animals are valued, humanely treated, and live enriched lives.
Calgary Humane Society is committed to creating a better tomorrow through education and collaboration.
