Due to severe upper respiratory infection, Percy had to have enucleation (removal) of both eyes. This gives him a quirky appearance but he is no different from any other kitten!
He is playful, loves to cuddle and can learns quickly how to navigate his living space as it is enlarged.
He must be adopted with his sister, Pippin. They have always relied on each other to "see" the world.
A normal kitten, Percy does create kitten mischief. So far, he has not attempted to climb higher than 1 foot. That should change as he grows up and gets more confident.
Noisy toys are a necessity, obviously. He is particularly fond of feet and shoes, since they are at ground level and make intriguing sounds. Toys that are interactive and make sounds (like Da Bird) are particularly fun.
He likes the love when he wears himself out. He enjoys neck cuddling but prefers the lap. Smooches to his neck and belly are accepted at all times. A simple touch is all it takes to start his loud, rumbling purr!
Percy and Pippin will need a home/family that understand that life with blind and/or limited vision kitties require an especially watchful eye and careful integration into the home.
While they have limited exposure to their foster’s resident cats, they have become overwhelmed by loud or unfamiliar sounds and will scramble for cover.
They have had no exposure to dogs or children.
The adoption fee is $160 for both kitties.
