Meet Tamarack, a spirited youngster brimming with energy and wide-eyed curiosity. Life is one big adventure for him — whether he’s racing across the yard, chasing toys with boundless enthusiasm, or exploring the world around him with that bright, inquisitive spark.
Tamarack’s journey hasn’t been an easy one. He began his story in Stevens County, where he and two other dogs were found abandoned, frightened, and unsure of what would come next. But compassion found them. Caring locals noticed the trio and made sure they had food, water, and, most importantly, patience. Little by little, the dogs began to trust again.
With time and gentle encouragement, Tamarack and his companions were brought safely to the rescue center. Here, surrounded by dedicated staff and volunteers, Tamarack is slowly blossoming — showing more of his personality each day. His playful nature is returning, along with a growing sense of hope and confidence.
Now, Tamarack is ready for the next chapter: a home filled with kindness, consistency, and love. He’s a bright young dog eager to form a deep bond with someone who will guide him forward and help him discover all the good the world has to offer.

We are dog and cat lovers who want to help decrease the number of healthy pets being euthanized. We do this through adopting pets to caring homes and by spaying and neutering every pet before it is adopted out. We operate a Thrift store named Critters, which is volunteer run with all money brought goes to support our "No Kill" rescue. Critters is located on the same property as our shelter. We take in homeless animals because they are in need and are unable to help themselves.
