Hello everyone, meet Paula! Paula came to Woodford Humane after her family had to move and was not able to take her along. If you are looking for a dog that isn’t too big, or too energetic but also not tiny and lazy Paula could be the one for you! She’s a perfect medium, size and energy-wise. Paula loves to spend time with people and can be a bit of a foodie (she’s a huge fan of snacks!) Paula has been a little overwhelmed here at the Adoption Center and is on medication to help manage her anxiety. She has lived with other dogs before, but we’d recommend a meet-and-greet prior to adoption if you have other dogs at home. Could Paula be the one for you? The Woodford Humane Society is a 501(c)(3) non-profit animal organization located in Versailles, Kentucky. We provide shelter and care to the homeless and unwanted animals in Woodford County, surrounding counties, as well as animals from other states. We care for pets of all breeds and ages, with no time limit on their stay, and we are proud to maintain an annual placement rate of over 95%.
With no government funding, we are completely dependent on private contributions to continue to provide care to around a thousand animals each year.
Adoption fees include spay or neuter surgery, vaccinations and deworming while at our Adoption Center, feline leukemia and FIV screening for cats, heartworm screening for dogs, a microchip with a lifetime registration, a free veterinary checkup, and a starter bag of food.
