My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Loving, Calm, Gentle

If you’re looking for a healthy dose of slow-roasted love smothered in cuddles, Sweet BBQ Chicken might just hit the spot! At 10 years old, Sweet BBQ Chicken has perfected the recipe for the good life: a big scoop of calm, a dash of play, and endless servings of love. Although he has a reserved nature at first (he’s a bit shy when meeting new people), once he warms up, he’s all sweetness---purring, biscuit-making, and belly-flopping for rubs like a true comfort-food companion.

This handsome tabby enjoys the simple pleasures: lounging in a sunny spot, batting at his squeaky fox toy or bell balls, and occasionally indulging in a short laser-pointer chase (but let’s be real, he’s more into cozy vibes than cardio).

Sweet BBQ Chicken isn’t a big talker. He saves his voice for gentle purrs rather than meows, and he’s wonderfully easygoing about routine and daily life.

While his experience with other cats and children is unknown, he’s proven himself to be a gentle, loving soul with every person he’s met. He’s unbothered by the sound of dogs in his foster home and would likely do fine with a respectful pup.

His dream home is with a patient person or family who will give him a little time to trust (it took about two weeks in foster care), and once he does, they’ll discover a loyal, affectionate cuddlebug ready to smother them in warmth.

If you’re looking for a cat who’s tender, cozy, and oh-so-satisfying to love, then Sweet BBQ Chicken is the purrfect comfort dish for your heart.

All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
