Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Star has been with our behavioralist for a couple months now, and we are so proud of her progress. She is ready for a STRONG & EXPERIENCED foster or forever home!
Star is a high energy girl who really needs an active forever home! She does good with other dogs, but she can definitely be pushy and have a rough play style. She takes well to being corrected by other dogs! With strangers, she can be a bit head shy if you quickly try to pat her on the head, so she definitely has some past abuse relating there. Star is doing great with all of her commands, and she is wicked smart. She responds very well to positive reinforcement and corrections when necessary. She is very eager to please and she has a spunky personality. She is crate trained, and she is doing good with potty training.
Star loves her crate and it is definitely her safe space. The only time we see her growl, is if she is comfortable in her crate and the male in the home walks by, which we have been working on and that has been improving as well!
We are looking for a forever home who understands she has a rough past, but she is a young girl who is continuing to grow and trust. We will provide two FREE training lessons to whoever adopts and fosters her. Star can be very affectionate once a bond is created, and we know there is a patient and loving forever home out there for her. We saved her the day she was going to be euthanized and we are so glad we did. Our trainer believes she can fully get over her minor issues with consistency and time!

We have a thorough vetting process to qualify potential adopters. Checking the vet reference is the most critical. If the check is good the adopter is invited to meet our beautiful dogs at the GTS Husky ranch.
