Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Maya is such a sweet and spunky girl who is ready for her forever home! Maya is 5-6 years old and she definitely had a rough start to life. She ended up the local shelter twice in two years, where her last family even dropped her off to die due to barking at the kids. There is definitely some past abuse with men, as the firs couple weeks Maya was in her foster home she would bark at the man in the house, but quickly warmed up to women. Once she is given 3 weeks to adjust and create trust, she absolutely can bond to men as well. She now cuddles with her fosters husband and they have a great relationship now.
We even tested Maya with kids 8-10 age range, and she did fantastic. She will be gentle and cuddle up next to them on the couch. She is such a loving and affectionate husky. She deserves a loving forever family of her own who can give her a couple weeks to adjust and bond!
Maya is potty trained, she knows her commands, she walks well on a leash, and she is non-destructive so she does not need to be crated when left home alone. She gets along great with other dogs, but she can be vocal and bark at them when shes intimidated. She is great about sharing toys with other dogs and creating mutual respect. Maya would also do great as a solo dog, as she craves humans attention more than company from other dogs. Otherwise she would do best with a submissive dog in the home. Maya needs a home with no cats. Maya is very playful with toys, and she is super food motivated. She listens extremely well to commands and she is very eager to please! She loves to go for walks, trips in the car, and zooms around the yard. Inside she is calm and happy to cuddle up next to her humans.
With a little time to adjust, she still has so much love and trust for humans despite her past. She deserves nothing but the most loving and dedicated forever home!

We have a thorough vetting process to qualify potential adopters. Checking the vet reference is the most critical. If the check is good the adopter is invited to meet our beautiful dogs at the GTS Husky ranch.
