Meet Wilbur!
Wilbur came to us in January 2025 after his previous home became stressful due to a dog that didn’t get along with him. His family loved him and wanted him to have the chance at a calmer, more comfortable life.
Wilbur is a sweet boy with a loud purr who enjoys spending time with people and is very food motivated. He’s come out of his shell nicely and loves attention from volunteers. Because he can sometimes pick on other cats, Wilbur would do best in a home where he has plenty of space to feel comfortable and settle in.
With patience, kindness, and maybe a few treats, Wilbur could be a wonderful companion.
Feline Immunodeficiency Virus positive cats can live normal lives both in quality and duration. They do take special care in terms of monitoring them for signs of infection. FIV can be passed from cat to cat via deep bite wounds, but not from casual contact so positive cats can live with negative cats without the fear of spreading FIV as long as they get along and are spayed/neutered. For more information about FIV – feline immunodeficiency virus visit this website: https://bestfriends.org/resources/fiv-cats-faqs-feline-immunodeficiency-virus
All cats are spayed or neutered, vaccinated and tested for FIV/FeLV. **If interested in adopting me, please fill out an online adoption application at https://colonycats.org/adoption_app.html to expedite the process. Due to the large number of inquiries received, we are unable to respond to emails quickly.**
