Meet Tux – The Hammock Acrobat with a Heart of Gold 🖤🤍
Tux is a 13-week-old tabby tuxedo girl with a playful spirit and the softest little purrs. Born on April 15th, she and her sister Bertha are a bonded pair, and they’re looking for a forever home where they can keep adventuring together.
Tux is athletic, curious, and sometimes a bit goofy—especially when she’s clinging to the underside of her favorite hammock and scrambling her way up into it like a tiny gymnast! She loves to chase soft catnip mice and bat around squishy foam balls, but after playtime, she’s all about the cuddles. Pick her up and she’ll happily nestle into your chest, purring contentedly. One of her cutest features? Her little tail curls up like a question mark when she sits!
While Tux can be a bit more timid at first, she quickly gets brave and loves to explore new spaces once she feels safe. She’s food-motivated and loves sneaking bites of the wet food her mom shares with her, but she’s also happily munching on Acana First Feast kitten kibble and sampling a bit of Purina Friskies Adult Paté.
A Special Backstory 💛
Tux’s story began when her mom, Cali, and her aunt, Clio, showed up at their foster family’s door last summer as young kittens themselves. By the time they were finally brought indoors this spring, both Cali and Clio were pregnant. Tragically, Tux and her sister Bertha were the only two kittens to survive from Cali’s litter, and Clio passed away from complications after giving birth to a litter that didn’t survive.
Despite this heartbreaking start, Tux and Bertha have been a source of joy, comfort, and healing—not just for their foster family, but for their mom Cali, too. The sisters are adventurous, snuggly, playful, and ready to bring love and laughter into their new home.
