My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This handsome German Shepherd mix came to us 9 months ago as a total goofball — all legs, ears, energy, and zero chill. But with time (and a little patience), he’s grown into quite the gentleman. Think of us as your “teenage years support team” — we get you through the chaos so you can enjoy the good stuff. It's our superpower.

Charley is sliding into the easy years of 2+. Around 45-ish pounds, sporting a curious little docked tail, and absolutely obsessed with other dogs — big, small, and everything in between.

Ready to add a loyal, social, and now mostly un-spastic sidekick to your pack? He’s your guy.

More about this rescue

Flying B Animal Rescue & Sanctuary was founded in honor of my husband Tom Baker who passed away in 2023 from pancreatic cancer. Tom understood my profound love of animals and wanted me to follow my dream to start an animal rescue - so here we are.

Flying B provides rescue, shelter, and rehabilitation for abandoned animals in the Ellis County and surrounding areas.
