My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Truck is a total sweetheart, and very quiet unless he is playing with other dogs - when he can get very rambunctious. He totally loves other dogs and is often a peacekeeper among them. Truck is very handsome, and is a big boy (30 pounds); his size is the same as his fostermom's Decker Rat Terrier. We think this handsome 1 to 2 year old boy may have a little Cattle Dog mixed in with his Rattieness. So... Truck would make a good lap dog for a person, but he is also large enough to play with the big dogs. Truck would do best in a quiet home, as he is shy sometimes around people and does not care for loud noises. He hasn't got a mean or aggressive bone in his body, but if he gets scared he gets very quiet and somewhat withdrawn. However, his fostermom thinks that with time and attention he will get over much of this. Truck has already made leaps and bounds from when he first arrived from a shelter in Kentucky. He was transported to the shelter in the trunk of the car of his former owners! Truck then spent a few months in a small cage and became very depressed, which happens sometimes with shelter dogs. We would love to see the person or family wanting to adopt Truck take him to training, and to other dog events, as we feel that this would really help to build Truck's confidence. Truck is going to make some person or family a wonderful companion!
