My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Howdy ya’ll! My name is Aquilla, but my foster family calls me Hamish. Born around May 2020, I’m a big, goofy, show-stopping lover boy that hasn’t yet met a person that I don’t like. Although I love to play with my foster fur sister, humans are still my favorite species. As long as you have an extremity to pet me or a lap to snuggle up against, I’ll melt right into you (or just nudge myself between your legs to make sure you know I want attention). I would be happy with only humans in my furever home (as long as they’re home most of the day), but I’d also be happy with another playmate. My foster mom says I’m good at keeping my younger foster sister entertained. I’m house-trained and have done well being left loose in the house all day while my people are at work. I’m also nearly a pyrfect gentleman on a leash (unless one of those stray cats in the neighborhood runs by like they want to play tag). Needless to say, a home without cats would be best for me. I’ve been needing some extra groceries to help me fill out into the 100+ lb boy I’m meant to be, and my people think my happy dance at mealtimes is the cutest. They say I shouldn’t go to a home with small children because of this happy dance, and sometimes the excitement overflows when they get home from work – think bull in a china shop. But I’m a quick learner, provided you have lots of love to give and food to feed me. So, if you’re looking for a handsome, quiet, cuddly “shadow” around the home, then apply now to see if I’m the right boy for you!
