Meet Cowboy, a sweet and energetic 8-month-old Papillon mix weighing 5 lbs.
Background: Cowboy was found running the streets as a stray. An owner couldn’t be located, so he was turned over to our rescue.
Personality: Cowboy’s sweet and affectionate nature suggests he was once loved. He adores meeting new people and loves to play with all kinds of toys. Cowboy is equally fond of running around and playing with dogs of all sizes. After an active play session, he loves nothing more than snuggling up with his humans for some quality cuddle time.
Health: Cowboy is healthy but underweight and should gain another pound or two. Cowboy is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped.
Training: Cowboy is a young pup and still learning the ropes. He is working on potty training in his foster home but will need continued training. He is quiet in his crate and sleeps through the night.
Ideal Home: Cowboy would thrive in a home where he can be the center of attention. He would likely get along well with children but can be mouthy when he plays. He enjoys the company of other dogs and would benefit from having a playful canine companion. To ensure his safety, a secure, fenced-in yard is required. Because of his small size, Cowboy should never be left in a yard unsupervised.
