Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This sweet baby just wants to cuddle! And play! And chew your toes! And cuddle some more! If you want to ensure a steady supply of laughs and cuddles for your future, you need Chai Puppuccino in your life.
HISTORY
Mama Sweetie (also available for adoption) is a Chihuahua cross who lost her people when her family became homeless. They left her with a friend, who kept her for a few weeks until she produced a litter of puppies. Sweetie and her babies were just a few days old when they were released to HART in May 2025. They have been together in a loving foster home in Kennewick ever since.
GENERAL TEMPERAMENT & BEHAVIOR
It's too soon to know much about what kind of dogs the Puppuccinos will grow into, but here's what we know:
Sweetie has been an excellent mama - strict about boundaries, but diligent in keeping them clean and fed. The Puppuccinos have been gently handled several times a day since their first days in their foster home. They are now all confident, friendly, trusting, and very playful. They are in and out through the dog door all day, and love toys, wrestling, exploring, chewing and playing tag. They share their foster home with a German Shepherd, and LOVE to torment him!
These babies are young enough to learn to live happily with friendly, laid-back cats, kind dogs, and gentle children. They are too small and fragile to share their home with a child under the age of six.
It's important to remember: the Puppuccinos are puppies, and PUPPIES ARE HARD WORK! These little guys are just getting started - they have sharp nails and needle teeth, and they love to pounce on shoes and grab hold and tug on anything that moves! As far as they're concerned, anything and everything is for play. They still have everything to learn about being civilized members of a mainly-human family. They will trip you up, piddle on your rug, and chew your stuff. Please don't apply to adopt a Puppuccino unless you're sure you have the time, energy and desire to raise them right!
HEALTH STATUS
The Puppuccinos were born on May 19, 2025, and will be ready to go home by the end of July. These babies are going to be pretty small - Sweetie weighs only 8 lbs, and the pups are unlikely to go over 10 lbs.
They have been fed good-quality puppy food since they began weaning, have been regularly dewormed, they are microchipped, and they have begun their series of puppy shots. It will be your responsibility to ensure they receive a full course of vaccinations.
HART does not support pediatric spay/neuter, so these pups have not been sterilized. You will be required in terms of the adoption contract to have your pup sterilized by the time they are 12 months old. HART will refund you $100 upon receiving proof of sterilization.
