Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Ranger is a cute 3-year old male Terrier mix who was brought to the HSOV on July 13, 2025 along with his two companions (Bronco and Tacoma) after they were found on Gross Street in the vicinity of the Giant Eagle Grocery Store. None of the trio were wearing a collar nor were they microchipped.
Ranger has a tan-and-black short coat with a wiry texture, a long tail, and an adorable face, a black button nose, a slender muzzle, and large floppy ears. Ranger's left eye is brown and his right eye is pale blue .. which gives him a very unique appearance.
This good-looking boy has a sweet, outgoing personality When we took first photos of Bronco and his companions shortly after their arrival, Ranger and Bronco appeared to be 'best buds' (or perhaps Bronco depended upon Ranger for comfort/security).
Ranger isn't a very large boy when you see him in person since he weighs just 18 lbs.
These photos were taken on July 16, 2025 when HSOV Manager Tracy Moore accompanied Ranger for his outdoor photo session. Ranger seemed to enjoy posing for 'glamour photos' and was a natural for the camera lens.
In compliance with the Ohio Revised Code, Ranger was held for the mandatory three-day stray hold so that his family would have an opportunity to reclaim him with proof of ownership. Surprisingly nobody called or came looking for Ranger (nor Bronco and Tacoma).
Since he was not reclaimed, Ranger went home with a foster family on July 23, 2025 who plans to adopt him if all goes well.
Happy Update: Kipper was neutered on September 22, 2025 and was also given rabies vaccine. Kipper was officially adopted by his foster family later that afternoon.
