Meet Tom — A Big, Happy Heart in a Growing Pup

Say hello to Tom, a joyful, high-spirited young dog who has truly blossomed in his foster home and is ready to bring his incredible energy and love to a forever family.

Tom started life with the very best foundation. He’s the son of Memorie, a beautiful German Shepherd with a gentle soul, and was lovingly raised alongside his litter with exceptional care. That strong start shows in everything he does—but it’s his time in foster care that has really helped him shine

How Tom Has Blossomed in Foster Care

Living in a home has helped Tom grow into a confident, happy, and well-adjusted young dog. His foster family describes him as “such a good dog” who has completely won their hearts—and even turned a lifelong cat family into dog lovers

He’s adapted beautifully to routines, training, and everyday life, and continues to show how much he understands and wants to please.

Tom’s Personality at a Glance

  •  Very active & energetic — always ready to run, play, or hike

  •  Smart & trained — listens well, understands commands, and responds to “stop” and “stay”

  • ‍‍‍ Great with people & kids — will happily play with children and soak up attention

  •  Cat-curious — loves cats and wants to chase, but can be redirected

  •  Affectionate in his own way — not a big snuggler, but loves being near his people and getting attention

Tom gives you energy, joy, and a different kind of love—the kind that fills your days with movement, laughter, and connection.

Life at Home with Tom

Tom is thriving in a home environment and showing just how adaptable he is:

  •  Crate trained — loves his big crate and will go in when asked

  •  Well-mannered indoors — quiet in the house and doesn’t bark at people or dogs

  •  Great with grooming — takes showers, likes his ears cleaned, and even enjoys wearing clothes

  •  House-trained — great going outside, though he prefers wee-wee pads during rainy days

  •  On dry food and doing great

He’s also wonderful with change, making him a great match for a family ready to include him as a true member of the household.

Adventure Buddy Wanted

Tom is built for active families who enjoy:

  • Hiking

  • ‍ Running

  • Playtime and outdoor adventures

He’s grown into a large, strong dog and is full of youthful enthusiasm—so he’ll thrive with people who can give him structure, exercise, and time.  Like many young dogs, he can get excited and may jump during play, but with guidance and engagement, he responds well and continues to improve every day.

Tom’s Perfect Home

Tom would do best with:

  • An active family ready for a big dog with big energy

  • People who will give him time, attention, and leadership

  • A home that treats him like family—“like a kid,” as his foster lovingly says

He is, simply put, a really good dog who has so much love and joy to give.
