Poncho is a sweet, loyal guy who loves to cuddle up on the couch and take short walks. He is an older rat terrier. At his last check up, the vet found that he has a heart murmur (common in smaller, older dogs) and he is on medication for that. He is also on a low dose pain killer to help with those occasional aches and pains that come with age. He walks great on a leash, responds to his name, and sits on command. He is currently learning 'stay.' Poncho is very affectionate and always wants to be beside his person. He loves tomatoes and bananas!
Poncho does okay with other dogs but does tend to be possessive over food and toys. He has made a lot of progress with this over time. He reacts well to our 2 cats but does need a slow introduction. He is 26 pounds.
