Meet Dot! Born May 7, 2025, Dot is a sweet, playful little lap cat who’s ready to bring love and joy into a forever home! He got his name from the adorable dot on his chest and the three white hairs at the tip of his tail. Dot is incredibly affectionate, always eager to curl up in your lap or play with his favorite toys. He shares a special bond with his sister, Nugget—they’re a bonded pair and must be adopted together. The two of them are inseparable and would thrive in just about any home that offers love, attention, and a cozy place to nap.

If you’re looking for a loving duo to brighten your days, Dot and Nugget are your perfect match!

Clayton hours are every Saturday and Sunday, 10:30am-2pm. Clayton store is located at 5404 Ygnacio Valley Rd.

All of HALO's cats are available for adoptions have been spayed or neutered and up-to-date on their vaccinations.

All the animals are microchipped.

Dogs and cats receive a complete check by a veterinarian.

HALO's cats and kittens can be seen at Pet Food Express every Friday 4pm-7pm plus Saturday and Sunday 10am-1:30pm (except the third Saturday, we do not have an adoption event). Pet Food Express is located at 5829 Lone Tree Way B, Antioch, CA.

H.A.L.O. is the East Contra Costa County Homeless Animals' Lifeline Organization, better known as H.A.L.O. We are a nonprofit, all volunteer, 501c(3) charitable organization who assists dogs, cats and their owners in Eastern Contra Costa County.
We rescue approximatly 500 animals a year, all by volunteers, all in our homes and in our hearts.
We are not a shelter,
We have grant funds for the spaying and neutering of East County ferals and food for them if needed.
We have a program called "Angel Ears" where certified dogs and their trainers go to the local libraries and the children read to the dogs. This has proven a very effective way to increase reading skills rapidly. We also take the dogs to senior facilities.
We are in need of volunteer in many capacities.
