My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lap-cat, Handsome, Ball of Fun

"All my life I've looked at cat toys as though I were seeing them for the first time." -Purrnest Hemingway

What a handsome boy! How could you resist Purrnest Hemingway's tabby tiger stripes, white belly and toes, knee high stockings, and gorgeous green eyes?

Purrnest makes a wonderful weighted blanket. He would LOVE to sit in your lap while you work, or when given the opportunity will lay across your stomach or chest and really snuggle up! He will gladly roll over to let you scratch his belly.

When he's not curling up next to you, he will be trying to play! Purrnest is a playful, spunky kitty. He enjoys laser pointers, and hunting and pouncing on his wand toys. He needs a forever home that will play with him, and might benefit from having another friendly, playful kitty to hang with.

When it's nighttime Purrnest becomes chill and relaxed. This huge cuddlebug will sprawl across your chest and fall asleep there, quietly purring. If he's really feeling cozy, he will reach his paw out as he naps and gently rest it on your face. He even lets you hold his little paws! At bedtime, he will sometimes decide to join you and sleep at the foot of your bed - ensuring sweet dreams for all!

The ideal home for this loving boy would be with a family that will give him plenty of play time and snuggle time. Once he settles in, you're going to have a cuddly and fun friend for life! If Purrnest sounds like he would be purrfect for your home, contact us so you can meet this adorable ball of fluff.

Purrnest Hemingway has tested positive for Feline Leukemia. FeLV is not a type of cancer. It's a virus that causes a weaker immune system and often a shorter life-span. For the most part, 'FeLVies' are just like any other cat. APA! waives the adoption fees of these cats, and provides FeLV-related treatment and support post-adoption. Purrnest Hemingway can only live with other FeLV+ cats, but dogs and other animals are just fine! Any questions? We'd love to talk with you about FeLV care.

All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
