Lucas Ray Jackson is my full name! You can call me, Luke or Lucas! My daddy is very sick and had to give me up. I was his emotional support dog and I know so many tricks and so many crazy words! I can even talk and say I love you! I am a 60 pound fluffy boy and I would love to be king of your home, right at your side, helping you through your day. I love getting in the car and going on errands with you, and I enjoy walks but don’t need extensive exercise. When I see others on a walk, I get very excited and I can lunge and pull and be quite a handful, but if you give me the right command, I do know how to settle down. I would do best with somebody who understands how to give commands to a dog and not be intimidated by a big bark or some pulling. I will listen once we understand each other and what you want from me. I will also tell you what I want from you, like some snack cakes that you have hidden in the jar. I am extremely intuitive, I know what you’re thinking and I know what your actions are going to be before you even start. I would make a great therapy dog and I do wonderfully visiting people in nursing homes. (I dont bark or lunge there … I save that for outdoor parks! lol) My new person needs to be strong and stable on their feet so they can handle me properly as we go places. We have an in-depth application process, check a national do not adopt list, vet references and contract outlining our expectations which include annual vetting, treated like a family member and we take these animals back with a no questions asked policy. Upon interview we outline the complete personality of each animal. We pride ourselves in matching the personality of our pets with lifestyle and love each adopter has for animals.
