My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

LOCATED IN WATERLOO, ON at PetSmart Waterloo
DOB 20 March 2022
DSH torbie (tabby & tortoiseshell)
Microchipped

Athena is sweet, playful young cat with a pleasant and warm vibe. She has a kind and gentle nature (even when she was first rescued and was still scared).

Athena is beautiful inside and out. She likes to be around people, but doesn't need to be entertained all the time. She's an observant gal who enjoys passing her time snoozing up high in a cat tree or playing with small cat toys and, yes, boxes. She's also affectionate and loves firm head rubs. She allows herself to be picked up easily. She doesn't want to be "held" for very long, but chooses to come over to sit on your lap for some loving or a nap from time to time.

Athena likes to make her own happy soundtrack. She has an amazing purr, and she's especially "purry" when she's eating her wet food! (She loves yummy food and comes running when you shake a treat container too.) Athena also "sings" — chirping, mewing etc for seemingly random reasons. Sometimes it's before she uses the litter box, sometimes it's when she's scared, and other times it's when she's playing with a toy. Her songs and sounds were most expressive when playing with a curled-up pipe cleaner type toy in her foster home. But, she also loves anything catnip!

When she first came into foster care, Athena was understandably quite nervous. But, in just a few days, she settled down and became quite relaxed and pleasant, which is a testament to what a wonderful nature she has! She recently raised kittens (Pippen and Merry) and was a really good momma. Now that they've grown, it's Athena's time to indulge and relax, and to hum her happy tunes in a forever home.
