My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

🎩 Meet Mad Hatter — the six-month-old chaos goblin with a flair for the dramatic and a complete lack of respect for gravity.

This little gentleman didn’t get his name by accident — he’s mad, he’s bonkers, and he’s absolutely the life of the party. One minute he’s chasing invisible enemies, the next he’s staring into the void like he’s solving the mysteries of the universe (or just forgot why he walked into the room).

Mad Hatter is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and ready to make your house his personal Wonderland. He loves toys, snacks, and giving his humans mild heart attacks by leaping off furniture like an Olympic gymnast.

If you’ve ever wanted to share your home with a furry stand-up comedian who thinks the zoomies are a lifestyle, not a phase — Mad Hatter’s your guy. 🐾💥More information? Call Marion Area Humane Society at 740-389-6548 or email at manager@mahspets.org

More about this shelter

Marion Area Humane Society is a 501(c)(3), non-profit organization incorporated in 1967 under ORC 1717. We strive to educate, assist and protect the animals of the Marion area. Since 1986 have operated a shelter to provide a humane environment for homeless animals. In 2011 several generous donors and grants made it possible for a shelter renovation and addition of a separate intake section. MAHS operates a open-admissions shelter with a guilt and fee free surrender policy, to encourage owners who can not properly care or maintain proper living conditions for their pets to do the best thing for the pet. MAHS also provides humane investigations and a spay/neuter voucher program for Marion county.
