My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

These two handsome young rabbits are named after the dynamic duo from the 90s-era cartoon, Pinky and the Brain. (It is strongly recommended that potential adopters familiarize themselves with the theme song from the show. Their foster parents sing this to them, and the boys seem to enjoy it!) Pinky is the all-white bunny, Brain is the darker bun with the white face. Both are lively and curious bunnies. Brain in particular (like his equivalent in the cartoon) is ambitious and tries many different ways to escape from their pen when it is closed. His plans don’t really work - but he does try.

Both boys are sweet-tempered and love to get pets any time of the day. They are very enthusiastic about food and are clicker-trained to go in their pen when it’s mealtime. They are very tidy with their litter box and are well behaved. Pinky does try to nibble on the baseboards on occasion, but when he is reprimanded by name he stops. If you are seeking to share your home with a pair of sweet and inquisitive young rabbits, Pinky and Brain would love to meet you! And if you can serenade them on occasion with their theme song, that’s just icing on the cake.

We adopt to indoor homes only! If you are interested in adopting a bunny from Orlando Rabbit Care and Adoptions, or would like more information on rabbit care, please visit our website at: http://www.orlandorabbit.org. The first step in our adoption process is to complete an adoption application, which can be found here: https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/55856/generic . Then one of our volunteers will reach out to you via email to schedule a time to speak with you. If you don’t see the email in a day or two, please check your spam folder!

Our Adoption Fee/Donation for a single rabbit is $100, a pair is $170, and a triple is $200. This helps to offset the cost of having the rabbits altered, microchipped and vaccinated, as well as any medical care that may have been required.

Additional adoption info

For those that want to bond a new rabbit with an existing rabbit, we conduct bonding events where the home rabbit can meet several rabbits to find a potential match. We work with the adopting family to help ensure that the rabbits bond. We take back the adoptive rabbit if there is not a match.

Our adoption agreement specifies that we will take any adopted rabbit back, should the home situation change in the future.

Go meet their pets

We are a foster-based rescue where our available animals are kept in private homes.

You can see our rabbits online, then make an appointment to meet the rabbit(s) you select.

From time-to-time, we conduct adoption events where you can meet multiple rabbits. Because of RHDV2, these events have been paused.

More about this rescue

We are a rescue and educational group dedicated to the health, care and enjoyment of house rabbits. We believe that pet rabbits are family members and should be housed indoors, should be fed a healthy diet, should be spayed or neutered, and should receive quality medical care. Our organization strives to provide bunny parents with information to help them care for their rabbit.
