Tucker’s journey began when a kind motorist found him wandering in Texas traffic. She took him in, gave him love and safety, and quickly learned what a special dog he is. Though she can’t keep him long-term, she knows Tucker is ready to find a forever home where he can thrive.

Tucker is crate trained and does well sleeping on his dog bed in his crate at night. He’s quiet unless he needs something, and he’s never soiled his crate. He’s also house trained, with only a couple of accidents early on. He’s a smart pup who already knows *sit* and *stay* (especially with treats as motivation), and he’s eager to keep learning.

Playtime is Tucker’s favorite time—he adores toys, rope tugs, balls, and bones. His absolute passion is swimming. He’ll chase toys into the pool and even dive underwater to retrieve them. He also loves walks, car rides, and trips to the park.

Socially, Tucker enjoys the company of dogs and has been gentle with many he meets. Tucker also does best with confident cats who don’t run—he’ll chase if they bolt, but with calm cats, he’s been friendly. He even shares his home with an African gray parrot and leaves her alone. With people, Tucker warms up quickly, though he can be a little shy with men at first.

Tucker is active, clever, and impressively non-destructive for such a playful dog. He bonds deeply with his humans, listens well, and loves learning new tricks.

Tucker is an incredibly smart, loyal, and fun-loving companion who will brighten your days and keep you laughing.

More about this rescue

We opened in December 2019 as 1 of only 2 dog cafes in the United States. 3 months later we had to close our doors due to Covid. We resumed operations in December 2020 but have since focused on rescue, foster and adoptions. We also provide daycare and boarding services at our facility in Edmonds.
