My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Beefcake is a magnificent 3-year old male American Staffordshire Terrier/Pit Bull Terrier mix who was picked up in Marietta Ohio by a Washington County Ohio Deputy Sheriff and brought to the HSOV on July 3, 2025. Beefcake was not wearing a collar, and he was not microchipped.

This handsome guy has a beautiful beige-and-white coat, white paws, a long tail, and an adorable symmetrically-marked chubby face with pale brown eyes, a liver-colored nose, and short floppy ears.

Beefcake has the sweetest, most lovable personality!

These pictures were taken on the afternoon of July 13th when HSOV Volunteer Jennie Sherrard accompanied Beefcake for his outdoor photo session. Beefcake loved attention from Jennie and turned on the charm. He seemed a little too interested in making the acquaintance of a few of our outdoor shelter mascot kitties that he saw in the distance.

Beefcake weighs 70 lbs and is strong on a leash.

In compliance with the Ohio Revised Code, Beefcake was held for the mandatory three-day stray hold so that his family would have an opportunity to reclaim him with proof of ownership.

Beefcake's owner was identified but, sadly, he decided not to reclaim him ..

So Beefcake is looking for a new home. He will be neutered before he is officially adopted. Beefcake could be fostered or fostered-to-adopt with an approved HSOV Foster/Adoption Application while he is awaiting his neuter procedure.
