Hi, my name is Sissy, and I’m so much more than a pretty face. Let me tell you a little bit about myself! My parents adopted me seven and a half years ago. They loved me unconditionally, and I had them wrapped around my little paw in no time. But then I lost my mom and my dad in a very short period of time, and my world turned upside down. Luckily Midwest BREW came to my rescue!

My foster home is great! I live with a foster mom, two foster dog brothers and a foster dog sister. We also share our house with two wild and crazy kittens who have great toys that I love to play with. There aren’t any children here, but I did interact with my mom and dad’s grandchildren without any problems. I used to be an only dog in my previous life, so my foster mom thinks I’d be okay either being the only furkid at home or having furry siblings.

Foster mom is working with me on something called “manners.” For example, I’m no longer allowed to bark constantly while she eats. Can you imagine? She says I’m adapting very well to these “manners!” I do still bark when she leaves the house, but not for very long and I’m never destructive. Sometimes, she gives us licky mats with peanut butter when she leaves, and I forget to bark at all!

I sleep in a crate (with the door open) with my crate mats from my first home. I sleep between my foster sister and one of my foster brothers, and very close to my foster mom. I like knowing we are all together!

I had some dental issues, so it’s important that I get crunchy food and dental chews to keep my teeth clean. My teeth will need to be wiped off each day so fur doesn’t stick between my teeth and my gums. I’m very good when having this done – I don’t mind the attention at all!

Is there anything I don’t like? Hmmm. I’m not fond of car rides or thunder. But, being a cuddle bug and loving my people more than anything surely makes up for this!

If you think I’d be a good fit for you, please contact Midwest BREW for more information.

NOTE: Dog may be located in any of our six volunteer states (WI, IL, IN, OH, PA, MI).
