Lovely Leo the Lionhearted looks like a blend of a boxer and a basenji. He has perfect boxer colors and a corkscrew tail of a basenji – he’s definitely a handsome young man.

Leo is wonderful with other dogs, completely housebroken, very quiet, mellow, affectionate, and gentle. I can’t imagine Leo ever lashing out at anyone or anything!

He's marvelous with children and with both men and women.

Leo almost never barks (which could be the Basenji in him) so he won’t disturb your neighbors even if you have to gone all day.

Leo also loves to play ball – he loves his toys and can be a real goofball!

He’s also wonderful on a leash.

Although Leo is not needy, he will follow you around like you’re his best buddy ever.

He loves the car and we’ll sit quietly in the back seat like a gem.

Leo is definitely a pretty perfect dog if I dare say so myself! He’s very sweet, amazingly well behaved (knows all his basic commands) and loyal.

Leo loves the beach and loves to go on a good run but he’s hardly hyper. I would say that Leo can be a real couch potato. He loves nothing better than to lie on the cool tile floor or on his doggie bed and watch a movie with me!

Of course, Leo is fixed and up to date on all his shots. He’s also microchipped.

I am a firm believer is having potential adopters take a pup home for a “sleepover” to see how your family, your other pets, and your new best buddy all get along. We always take our rascals back if it isn’t a good fit.
