Meet Darwin — a handsome 2-year-old who came to us from an overcrowded NJ shelter. Despite his rough start, he’s settling in beautifully and making huge strides with our amazing volunteers!
Darwin is:
-Walking politely on leash
-Learning commands
-Friendly with people
-Doing great on pack walks
-Reported to be dog-friendly with no resource guarding
His sweet smile lights up the world, and he’s SO ready for a soft place to land.
Currently in boarding, Darwin would love a foster home to relax in while we complete his vetting. He’s UTD on vaccines, will be neutered soon, and is ready to start the next chapter of his life—with you!
Let’s get this sweetheart out of boarding and into a home where he belongs!

More about this rescue
Pitties and Pals Rescue, Inc. is (a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit). Our mission is to rescue dogs and educate the public. Although our main focus is the bully breed, we are committed to all dogs in need. We believe RESCUE involves a multitude of approaches that includes liberating dogs from at risk situations, whether in a shelter or with an owner in need of assistance. While adoption is always the ultimate goal, we believe transitioning into foster care allows for socialization and training that are key components to a successful placement.
Pitties and Pals volunteers are also committed to changing the negative public perception of the Bully Breed. As such, we welcome opportunities to heighten awareness and enhance education in a public forum through our personal stories and positive experiences.
